The SAE Master's Programmes
Are you capable of carrying out challenging projects in a specialised area of the media industry? Then why not combine this with a tailor-made master's degree together with the SAE Institute? Take on the challenge and take your projects to an academic level that will lead you to a Master of Arts or Master of Science degree. Depending on the direction of your project, we can support you in your projects together with the University of Hertfordshire in England or the Folkwang University of the Arts in Germany and provide you with the professional supervision for your Master's project. We will challenge and support you to successfully complete your project idea to a Master's degree.

Professional Practice
If you have five years of professional experience without a bachelor’s degree, or one year of professional experience with a bachelor’s degree, you can submit a project proposal. Following successful admission, a project topic will be determined, and a decision will be made whether you will work towards a Master of Arts or Master of Science in Professional Practice.

In cooperation with Folkwang University of the Arts, you can work on an artistic master’s project towards a Master of Arts degree.

Dozent im Spotlight: Gary Marlowe
Als musikalischer Geschichtenerzähler, der für seine ungewöhnlichen Kombinationen von Elektronik und Orchester bekannt wurde, ist der vielfach ausgezeichnete Komponist und Multiinstrumentalist Gary Marlowe hauptsächlich für Film tätig. Seine neuesten Werke sind der spanische Oscar Kandidat “Planeta 5000”, “Tatort: Der Welten Lohn” (mehr als 10 Millionen Zuschauer), und der Science Fiction Film “Everything Will Change” (u.a. mit Wim Wenders; Gewinner Max Ophüls Preis 2022). Seine Arbeiten sind für den 6. Deutschen Dokumentarfilm-Musikpreis 2018, und für den Grimme Preis 2019 nominiert worden. “Tatort: Für immer und Dich” gewann den Deutschen Fernsehfilmpreis der Akademie der Darstellenden Künste 2019. In 2020 wurde Marlowe für “Alkohol” bei den Crystal Pine Awards nominiert, und “Planeta 5000” gewann die Premios Simón in Spanien.

Expert Spotlight: Christian Bohm
Christian graduated from the Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg in 2014. During his studies he worked as an intern at Psyop in Los Angeles for a few months. After graduation he moved to London and started his career as a Lighting TD at ILM. Finding film work too static, he moved back to advertising at MPC Advertising. There he came into contact with Houdini while working on the VES nominated "Heineken Trailblazers" spot. He then moved from lighting to FX and worked at Framestore on series such as "The witcher" and the opener of "James Bond - No time to die". Christian has been teaching at SAE for 10 years as a freelance lecturer.
