Social responsibility
Corporate social and
societal responsibility

Our commitment to sustainability and responsibility is the driving force behind our efforts to create a world that is not only better for us, but also for future generations. Here we report on our collective actions and measures and hope to inspire others to keep moving forward and striving for more.

Let's speak, act and remind us all of the power we have to create a better world.

Christian Müller

Managing Director of SAE Institute GmbH

“We take our social responsibility seriously and support environmental- and climate protection, sustainability- and social projects with a portion of our profits. At the end of each year, we call on all SAE employees to send us their donation receipts. We support charitable organizations in the form of donations that are committed to species, climate or nature conservation, but also aid organizations and associations that work for more equality, a more social world, development aid or in the field of emergency aid.” (Managing Director Chris Müller)

Our annual
SAE charity campaign

We double every financial commitment made by our employees that benefits environmental or climate protection, sustainability or a social cause and thus support organizations such as Plan International, WWF, Viva con Aqua, SOS Kinderdörfer, Tafel Deutschland, Frankfurt Zoological Society, Doctors Without Borders, Save the Children and many more. This provides great motivation to support charitable projects and to research charitable organizations. Every year, we are pleased to be able to provide targeted help in areas that are of great importance to our employees.

In addition, the SAE Institute supports organizations such as WWF, Ocean4You, Peter Maffay Foundation and Oxfam with annual fundraising campaigns. During the corona crisis, the culture and event industry in particular was supported through donations to the "alarmstuferot" campaign alliance. In addition to helping many of those affected by the Ukraine crisis, SAE employees also showed a great deal of commitment. In addition to monetary donations, a great deal of awareness was raised both internally and externally about the emergency situation in Ukraine and compassion was shown time and again, including offering our own premises as emergency accommodation for refugees.

Social projects and support for major sustainability projects

We also support large-scale sustainability projects not only through monetary donations, but also through collaborations, such as our Game Jam for the WWF project "Mittlere Elbe". Here, digital solutions for a nature conservation project were developed in a week at our 11 locations in the DACH region and knowledge about nature conservation was conveyed in a fun and creative way. We are also delighted with the commitment of our students from the Music Business department, who always donate the proceeds from the events they organize as part of their studies to local charity projects for people in need and suffering. Further collaborations and sponsorships are already being planned for the future.

SAE Education Fund

Together with our partner Brain Capital, we have set up an education fund called the SAE Alumni Fund for Education (SAFE). We initially invested 750,000 euros in this fund. In the meantime, Brain Capital has been able to find further investors who have made several million euros available. The fund enables students from financially disadvantaged families to study with us by providing up to 100% funding. There are certain requirements to be met, such as minimum age and minimum grade point average. Brain Capital reviews the applications and allocates the funds. The fund is based on the reverse generation contract, i.e. all scholarship holders undertake to repay part of their future annual income to the fund (max. 10 years, max. 200% of the loan) and only if they exceed a minimum annual income. Refugees, orphans, etc. can also be supported by the fund.

With this in mind, we strive to train professionals who can tackle the challenges of the future with innovative solutions. Our vision and mission focus on strengthening European leadership in the creative and cultural industries, with a particular emphasis on managing the ecological transition. Europe, with its creativity and potential, has a crucial role to play in tackling climate change.
We believe that future generations must be aware of their crucial role in solving environmental and social problems.

DEIB - Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging

Diversity matters to us and we are proud to be a place where exclusion and discrimination have no place. No matter where you come from, what color your skin is, what skills you have, what gender identity and sexual orientation (LGBTQIA+) you have, what faith or background you have, you are welcome here. SAE is a place for everyone. We have a zero-tolerance attitude towards discrimination and offer protection.

Our DEIB Café (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging) is a place for exchange and engagement. Together, we stand up for people of all ages, with disabilities, with a migration background and for the LGBTQIA+ community at the SAE Institute. We stand for diversity, equality, inclusion and belonging.

We attach great importance to inclusive language. We use gender-neutral terms and avoid the generic masculine. Our gender symbol, the mediapoint, represents unity and perfection and stands for the merging of female and male into a perfect circle. Our CAS management system offers innovative solutions for gender incongruence and enables gender-neutral documents.

We are committed to equal opportunities and support people individually. Welcome to our community, where diversity is lived and celebrated!
