Inkl. Pitch- und Feedbackrunde mit wertvollen Praxis-Tipps
Die Produzenten und SAE Dozenten Andreas Rochholl und Sebastian Leitner stellen gemeinsam als CrossGeneration Media Berlin internationale Dokus für TV, Kino und Streaming her. Sie haben in Syrien, Iran, Armenien, Libanon, Afghanistan und Irak gedreht und mit den Protagonisten Vorort inhaltlich kollaboriert – ganz ohne Filmförderungen (low-budget) und zum Teil auch entgegen üblicher Narrative, sonst wäre keines der Projekte entstanden.
Nun nehmen sie Euch auf eine spannende Reise mit, wie man solche Tatsachenberichte (am Rand des Unmöglichen) trotz starker Limitierungen und Risiken produzieren und an authentische, menschliche Geschichten binden kann. Meist bedeutet das: Keine Finanzierung durch öffentliche Stellen, komplizierte Logistik und minimale Crew. Dennoch lohnt es sich entgegen der Normen und abseits redaktioneller Vorgaben zu arbeiten, um so gestalterisch freier, sowie emotionaler zu erzählen.
PITCH US YOUR STORY: Wir hören Euren Ideen und Geschichten zu und geben Feedback. Was bewegt Euch dazu, ein bestimmtes Thema zu erarbeiten, an welcher Stelle berührt und betrifft Euch das? Es wird für zwei Teilnehmende die Möglichkeit geben, sich für eine einstündige Brainstorming-Session bei uns, konkret zu ihren Konzepten, anzumelden.

• Alternativen zu Förderstellen und realistische Finanzierungschancen

• Persönlichkeitsrechte, Filmethik und Umgang mit fremden Kulturen
• Auswertungsmöglichkeiten und Sales-Partner
• Interviews mit Interkulturalität, Sensibilität der (Bild)gestaltung
• Manipulation in der Post-Produktion, Verantwortung, KI

Producers and SAE instructors Andreas Rochholl and Sebastian Leitner, together as CrossGeneration Media Berlin, create international documentaries for TV, cinema, and streaming. They have filmed in Syria, Iran, Armenia, Lebanon, Afghanistan, and Iraq, collaborating with protagonists on location—all without film funding (low-budget) and sometimes against conventional narratives, otherwise none of these projects would have materialized.
Now they take you on an exciting journey, showing how to produce such factual reports (on the edge of the impossible) despite strong limitations and risks, and how to connect them to authentic, human stories. This often means: no funding from public institutions, complicated logistics, and minimal crew. Nevertheless, it’s worth working against norms and away from editorial guidelines to tell stories with more creative freedom and emotional impact.

Two participants will have the opportunity to sign up for a one-hour brainstorming session with us specifically about their concepts.
