SAE Glasgow’s Malcolm Abbou’s band Heads on Pikes performed as part of a charity gig at the Audio Lounge.
Malcolm is a Campus Support Technician with his band playing alongside Broken Oath, Suffering Rites, No Known Weakness and Divide for a Glasgow show that raised £2129.36.
£629.36 of the money will go to MacMillan Cancer Support with £1,500 will go to Maggie’s.
Malcolm said: “The night was really good, all of our friends were there. Suffering Rites opened the show with some really cool death metal. Heads on Pikes was on second, the response after releasing our two-track demo just the day before was phenomenal! No Known Weakness were up next, they played a couple of new tunes as well as some from the demo they released earlier this year.”
“Divide are heroes in Glasgow and their set was legendary, everyone was dancing and piling up to sing along to the tunes, it was so cool. Glasgow hardcore legends Broken Oath wrapped the night up, it was their first headlining show in about 20 years (technically their second show since coming back last year), again people were dancing, singing along, and they also featured guest vocalists on a couple of their songs. I’m feeling extremely lucky and grateful to have been part of this.”
Malcolm and Heads on Pikes recently released a two track demo in March and are looking forward to playing more gigs alongside writing more music over 2025.
