Applying for Student Finance
SAE is now part of a higher education group that includes ICMP (The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance).
This exciting collaboration brings together two leading institutions in creative media and music education, opening up incredible opportunities for students. Students will be able to collaborate on multi-disciplinary projects, build close ties with industry and expand their creative networks. Ultimately, providing the best possible start to a career in creative media and music.
What does this now mean for me as a new student at SAE?
Your experience with SAE remains the same, however, one small change now applies to the process of applying for your Student Finance.
On the Student Finance application form, when asked ‘Where do you plan to study’ you should now select “The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance” as your University or college of study, not SAE. Following this, you’ll be asked which course you’ll be studying. Your SAE course will be denoted by the course name, along with a section in brackets stating (SAE Jan 2025 entrants onwards). Following this, you will select your SAE campus location.
Step-by-Step Guide
We have collated simple step-by-step instructions for you below or you can watch this video.
- You now must select “The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance” as your University or college of study.
- You will then choose the course you wish to study, your SAE course will contain SAE, and have in brackets (SAE Jan 2025 entrants onwards).
- You will then be asked to confirm and check the details selected and confirm the start date of your course.
- Finally, you will be asked to confirm the SAE campus location that you wish to study at.
- Once this is completed, the rest of the application will be self-explanatory.
Thank you for understanding these changes and we hope this has not been too difficult.
