Bio

Aleksandra Markovic is passionate about non-scripted content and her filmmaking practice ranges across topics of human rights, immigration, art and animal welfare.


She has edited and co-edited several feature-length documentaries while working on her own documentary projects.  


Before moving to the UK, Aleksandra worked for major Croatian broadcasters on non-scripted content producing and directing popular TV shows, such as Come Dine With Me, Kitchen Nightmares and Big Brother, for over ten years. 


Aleksandra was a film juror for Immigrant Film Festival (IFF) based in Washington D.C., and Juror in the Best Editing category for the 2022 IDA Documentary Award. Aleksandra holds an MA degree in Documentary Practice from the Queen Mary University of London.
