Once the Finalist Assessment Board has confirmed your award, your certificate will be sent as soon as it is printed and the initial diploma supplement is free of charge. The diploma supplement is posted with your certificate.
Your certificate will be sent to the home address you have listed on your Student Record. It is essential that you ensure your contact details are kept up to date so your certificate is sent to the correct address.
Please allow 4 weeks for postage in the UK and 8 weeks for international postage.
Diploma Supplements can’t be issued to students with outstanding debt to SAE. If you have an outstanding debt, please email our Finance Department at ukcollections@sae.edu.
CERTIFICATES

Unless you indicate a specific certificate address, certificates are posted to the student’s permanent home address registered on your Student Record. It is your responsibility to ensure that SAE has your most up-to-date address. If the address we have for you is incorrect, please update this on your Student Record.
Certificates won’t be issued to students with outstanding debt to SAE. If you have an outstanding debt, please email our Finance Department at ukcollections@sae.edu.

Replacement Certificates – SAE-accredited programmes
The final award certificate, which SAE issues as proof of the conferment of an award, is a unique and valuable document that should be carefully preserved by its recipient.
SAE won’t issue additional copies or a duplicate certificate to anyone already holding an original certificate.
If a SAE certificate is lost or destroyed, a replacement can be issued which will have exactly the same standing as the original it replaces.
It will be produced in the current format and may not be a facsimile of the original. To obtain a replacement certificate, please apply online using the form below this text. You will be charged a fee for requesting a replacement certificate. The amount will vary depending on the university it is awarded from. Please see details below.

An official letter confirming your university award can be produced. We can also verify photocopies of the original certificate. Please send your request to the EU Registry (registry_eu@sae.edu), or via the Document Information Request Form at the end of this page.
Our university partners offer award verification letters for awards achieved.
An award verification letter is an official letter issued by the university which verifies:
- the qualification (including classification) you received
- the start date
- the date it was awarded.
If you’re an SAE graduate, we can issue you with an award verification letter which can be:
- posted to you
- emailed directly to an employer/third party (we can’t send it electronically to you).
Award verification letters aren’t references and verify your award only. Please note that requests for awards confirmed before 2012 will have a longer turnaround time, as they require consultation of hard-copy archives.
If you’d like a physical copy of your award verification letter posted to you, please email the EU Registry at registry_eu@sae.edu with your full name, date of birth, details of the award you obtained and your postal address.
If you’d like the award verification letter emailed directly to a third party, you must first complete the GDPR Authorisation Form below giving your permission for us to release this information and email it to the EU Registry at registry_eu@sae.edu. This form must be sent by you – we aren’t able to accept a form sent on your behalf by a third party. You must also copy in the third party to this email, so we can respond directly to them verifying your award.
Please ensure we receive both your signed GDPR Authorisation Form and the employer/third party contact details in the same message, otherwise your request won’t be processed.
Please note that if you are a current student, we can’t issue you an award verification letter.
If you’re a third-party organisation and require us to verify the award and/or study details of a potential employment candidate, please ask them to complete an GDPR Authorisation Form and return it to us directly, copying you into their email. We must receive this form from the candidate themselves – we cannot accept any sent on their behalf.
Please ensure we receive the signed GDPR Authorisation Form directly from the candidate, with your company copied into the email, otherwise your request won’t be processed.
Please note that if the candidate is a current student, we can’t issue an award verification letter.
