Environmental, Social, and Governance
The Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) working group at SAE UK meets monthly.
The ESG committee was established at SAE UK to discuss a number of themes on a weekly basis.
ENVIRONMENTAL
One of the main focuses has been the implementation of environmental improvements, with saving made in electricity, recycling/waste segregation, and a substantial reduction in single use plastic.
More steps have also been taken to include the theme of climate change into our curriculum.
Carbon reporting
Our first carbon return for the year ending August 2023 was completed in May 2024 and included the following:

Access and Participation
Access and Participation Plan (APP)
- Regulatory requirement for UK institutions to demonstrate improvement on and widening of access and participation
- New plan for SAE UK being written, focus on students from unrepresented backgrounds and minorities
- Budget set aside for access investment (through student support services), financial support to students (fee relief or cash bursary), and research/evaluation
