Bio
Orvar joined SAE Glasgow in 2008 as a student. After finishing his studies Orvar worked as a freelance audio engineer in and out of Glasgow, doing everything audio related he could get his hands on. Everything from assisting with Southern General Hospital radio, live sound in dodgy venues and over to music production for advertising.
After having worked as a freelance engineer for couple of years Orvar joined SAE Glasgow as a part time Campus Support Technician (CST) in 2012, later moving up to head CST position. After a few years as a head CST Orvar moved into teaching on the audio course, which in late 2020 saw him take up the position of Audio Programme Coordinator at Glasgow.
Outside his SAE work Orvar currently works as a freelance mixing and mastering engineer, working regularly with solo artists and various independent record labels. Orvar’s mixing and mastering work regularly reaches prominent commercial radio stations, as well as charting on music outlets such as Beatport, Traxsource, and Juno records.
